The Charlotte Watson Country Collection Bread Crock will keep your bread cool and dark. The insulating properties of the ceramic help maintain an even temperature, while the lid does not have a seal so preventing moisture build up. The entire bread crock is glazed for easy cleaning and it will go in the dishwasher too but you might not fit much else in!
The bread crock is available in two versions; Upright or rectangular.
PLEASE NOTE These are large ceramic items with relatively thin walls. As a result it is normal for the rim to sag slightly and become out of true during the firing process (particulary with the rectangular bread crock). The lids are made fairly loose fitting in order to compensate for this. These features are not considered to be faults and cannot be used as justification for returning the items as faulty. The Charlotte Watson collection is a nostalgic evocation of late nineteenth century rural life in England. Made from fine cream earthenware, the detailed black decoration is fired directly into the clear lead-free glaze giving a tough, resilient, dishwasher - safe finish.
