A mandolin is simply the best way to produce fast even slices of all sorts of vegetables and hard fruits. This professional design full size mandolin comes with four interchangeable blades, three julienne inserts and a versatile safety guard. The interchangeable blades include a plain blade, crinkle cut blade and two graters, while the julienne inserts come in three widths.

The slicing thickness is controlled by a knob on the side of mandolin and can be accurately varied from 2 to 8 mm (in 2mm increments). The solid plastic body of the mandolin is supported by a strong stainless steel non-slip stand which folds away when not in use.

Also included in the body of the mandolin are cut outs to allow it to rest over the top of a bowl or pan; very handy for slicing large volumes of food. The safety guard has a plunger design, includes a combination of retractable and fixed spikes and can be attached to the body of the mandolin for added safety. Comes complete with  a handy storage box for all the blades and julienne inserts.

Please note mandolins have very sharp blades and must be treated with respect. Always use the guard. Always take care when using and cleaning the mandolin and blades. Mandolins require a certain amount of strength to use and are not suitable for anyone with weak wrists or hands.
