Alessi
The Alessi factory was founded on the shores of lake San Giulio, Northern Italy in 1921. The area had a long tradition of producing quality housewares, but over the following years Alessi set about redefining the standard. Today, the name Alessi has become synonymous with the highest quality of design and manufacture. Alessi products embody all that is great about imagination, invention, style and fun, but still maintain the core qualities of superb engineering and finish. Buying Alessi guarantees that you will have a product that will look great and function just as well. As is the Alessi tradition, products in this category are organised by their designer.

Alessandro Mendini has had a special and lasting impact on the history of Alessi. Not only is he responsible for several of Alessi's most recognisable design icons, but, in his role as an architect he has designed two extensions to the factory, the Alessi museum and even Alberto Alessi's house.
Mendini's most famous design is perhaps Anna G. Named after his wife, a giant rendition of the corkscrew now stands at the entrance to the Alessi factory.

These miniatures are very aesthetically pleasing, the quality of design and manufacturing quality is not lost when scaled down. The miniature series comprises of a number of classics from the last sixty years of Alessi's production, from the “Bombé” teapot by Carlo Alessi (1945) to the “Mami” saucepan by Stefano Giovannoni (1999). The collection was created with special consideration for collectors of Alessi's products, to give them the chance to complete their private collections of authentic objects and with considerable savings in terms of both space and expenditure
