About Us

The Good Cook Shop is a specialist cookware shop, selling everything from potato peelers to meat cleavers, bakeware to barware, and enough gadgets to keep anyone satisfied! We are also proud to be an authorised Alessi dealer.

The business was founded in 2002 with the intention of providing quality kitchenware, good prices, sound advice and excellent customer service. We opened our first shop in the bustling seaside resort of Southsea, at the southern tip of historic Portsmouth.

A key goal has always been to provide people with what they actually want and need as opposed to what might be on the shelf at the time.

The Southsea shop was an instant hit, and over the following years has become something of an institution in the town.

On the 29th of September 2007 we opened our second branch in the Seaside town of Worthing, West Sussex. We have received a very positive response from the people of Worthing, and intend to go on to prove ourselves amongst them.

Our Opening Hours in both shops are:

Monday to friday: 9.30 - 5.30

Saturday: 9.00 - 5.30
